About
Nancy is in love with yoga! She has been practicing for 24 years and marvels at its ability to continually transform her life. Having studied Landscape Architecture by earning a B.S. in Landscape Design and working as a designer, she’s a naturalist, believing your connection with nature to be a guiding principle in seeking harmony of the mind and body. “We are natural beings and our outside world deeply influences our constitution and daily rhythms.”
Teaching from an open and honest perspective her yoga is real and practical, focusing on the important things: breathing, movement, alignment, balancing flexibility with strength, and developing a clear awareness of what’s going on within and around you. Nancy’s passion for yoga ensures a living breathing practice that is never separate from one’s everyday life, a fertile ground of balance, harmony and continual discovery of the true Self as a treasured gift. My classes contain all the elements of progression -peace, clarity, mobility, motility, strength, confidence, and motivation. I welcome beginner to advanced students, a yoga truly accessible to everyone.
She became a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher, RYT in 2011 and has been a Transcendental Meditation practitioner since 2010. Her workshops on meditation offer life-changing techniques. “Sharing this practice is so important because people of all ages can start where they are. There is no perfect time or place. Working with our minds is the only way we’ll actually begin to feel lasting contentment.”
Nancy believes that being an ongoing student is the most important aspect of life. She strives to learn as much as she can through the wisdom of others including teachers, texts, classes, workshops, and her own experiences. Living in Redding, her husband and three sons help to keep her flexible, funny, and engaging.
